Play Meowdoku Online
Meowdoku is a cat-doku puzzle: the grid is carved into colored regions instead of boxes, and each row, column and region hides exactly one cat. No two cats may touch, not even at a corner. Once the rules click the board becomes pure deduction - cross out the squares that cannot hold a cat until only one is left.
This browser build is built for phones first: large touch targets, a board that resizes to the screen, swipe-to-cross, long-press to place a cat, three lives, hints, a daily challenge and streaks. Progress is stored locally in your browser, so there is no install and no account.
How to play
- One cat per colored region.
- One cat per row and one cat per column.
- Cats never touch, not even diagonally.
- Tap to cross, double-tap or long-press to place a cat.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this the same Meowdoku as the app?
- The rules and boards are identical: every grid is split into colored regions, and each row, column and region holds exactly one cat. No two cats may touch, not even diagonally. The browser build mixes boards from the same puzzle banks, from 4x4 starters up to the larger, harder layouts.
- How do I play on a phone?
- Tap an empty square to cross it out, double-tap or long-press to place a cat, and drag across squares to cross a whole line in one swipe. A wrong cat turns into a red cross and costs one of your three lives, so use the cat and cross hints when a board stalls.
- Do I need an account?
- No. The game starts immediately and your progress - levels cleared, hint balances, streaks and the daily challenge - is saved in this browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is nothing to sign up for.
- What is the daily challenge?
- One board is picked for each calendar date, the same board for everyone that day. Finish it to keep your streak going. The timer in the header records how long the solve took.
- Where can I find solutions if I get stuck?
- Every level in the mobile game has a video walkthrough and written strategy in the levels library. Open the level page for the exact board, or read the beginner strategy guide if region logic is new to you.
